JAKARTA: PT Tower Bersama Infrastruktur invests IDR239.4 billion in QI/2011 to construct 266 telecommunication towers.Tower Bersamas Director of Finance Helmy Yusman Santoso stated per March 31, 2011, the company owns 3,370 telecommunication towers from 3,104 towers in 2010.One tower will need IDR900 million.To construct the towers, he continued, the company will use their internal cash in the amount of IDR800 billion, including from their IPO proceeds.The company also pockets US$75 million loan facility from a total US$2 billion from UOB Singapore and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi.We have a total US$2 billion loan facility but at the moment the liquid amount was only IDR350 million. We used US$275 million in November 2010.The company in the meantime has acquired several tower companies until March this year. To facilitate the corporate action, Tower Bersama prepares US$36 million.Tower Bersama booked higher number of tenants this year to 5,085 tenants in the first quarter of 2011 from 4,729 tenants in 2010.Our operating income jumps by 100% this quarter.
