JAKARTA: PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) targets this years revenue to reach IDR10 trillion and IDR3 trillion net income.President Director of PTBA Sukrisno confirmed that the target is contributed from the estimation of higher coal price boosted by higher commodity demand from various nations.Various power plants which have already been established in India and China start operating, leading to higher coal demand. Meanwhile, coal supply from Australia gets stucked, he confirmed today.Sukrisno informed that the companys performance throughout 2010 is expected to go down compared to the figure in the end of 2009 because of lower coal price in market from the previous year.On the other hand, for 2011, the company targets its production to reach 17.6 million tons, higher than 13.1 million tons last year.To achieve the target, PTBA has provided several ways, including by upgrading coal transportation capacity. This year, the transportation train is targeted to transport 13.1 million tons from 10.8 million tons last year.The higher capacity is an impact of PT Kereta Apis effort to add 6 locos and 240 carriages. tghat will enhance load capacity of coal, Sukrisno continued.Throughout this year, Bukit Asam plans to allocate a capital expenditure of IDR1.8 trillion, which will be increased if the mining acquisition require huge fund.So far, the state-owned coal producer will depend on internal cash to finance 2011 capital expenditure. The company has IDR5 trillion cash.We still can finance the expansion because of quite huge cash we have, he informed.PTBA targets 50 million ton production in 2015 in a case that the train network has been completed totally.
