JAKARTA: PT Bahana TCW Investment Management recommends investors to take two investment types, namely installment plan and unit linked insurance.Director of Investment & Investor Relations at Bahana TCW Budi Hikmat confirmed that the investment strategies can be applied to face a possibility strengthening of share investment climate this year.Installment plan is also known as dollar cost averaging providing investment with fixed amount during long period.Furthermore, the installment plan concept is appropriate for investors having a long-period investment plan, as educational or pension fund. The investment can diversify a loss risk of capital market, both for shares or bonds as investors can keep allocating their funds when the market goes up or goes down.Meanwhile, unitlinked is an insurance product including investment fund. Investment manager will allocate some investment fund to investment products as shares or mutual funds by applying a similar concept of dollar cost averaging.As Budi informed, by applying the installment plan, investors have potency to take profit from portfolio when the market weakened.
