JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks climbed 0.56 points at the opening today.Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was opened at 3,722.91 after moving between 3,722.91-3,746.37.Of 418 stocks traded in Indonesia Stock Exchange, 25 rose and only four shares fell.The stocks driving the index up included PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia wih 2.41 points, PT Unilever Indonesia 2.28 points, PT Bank Central Asia with 1.46 points and PT Bank Mandiri with 1.24 points.Meanwhile, the shares lagging the index were PT PP London Sumatra, which plunged 0.33 points, followed by PT Aneka Tambang with 0.29 points, PT Bakrie Telecom with 0.17 points, and PT Indika Energy with 0.16 points.Eight of nine sectors in Indonesian Stock Exchange showed positive moves.Mining sector became the largest contributor to the gains in the index with 20.18%, followed by basic industry and chemical with 19.79%, and miscellaneous with 16.63%.At the same time, BISNIS-27 Index also rose 0.08 points this morning to 330.43.
