JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), which measures the overall performance of Indonesian shares, slightly decreased 0.07% or 2.68 points to 3,823.45 at the midday trading break. Meanwhile the regional market mostly advanced.The JCI was moving at the range of 3,819.31-3,838.52. About one share fell for every one share up. More than a half of the shares traded were unchanged.A decreasing of blue chip shares was dragging JCI down. Share of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk gave -1.43 points contribution, followed by PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk with -1.30 points, PT Bumi Resources Tbk with -1.22 points, and PT Tambang Batu Bara Bukit Asam Tbk with -0.95 point.Mining sector was the biggest sector which gave highest minus contribution to JCI.PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk was one of several stocks that prevented the index drop with positive contribution of 1.44 points. Included in this line are shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk with 1.36 points, PT Adaro Energy Tbk with 0.94 points, and PT Gudang Garam Tbk with 0.57 points.BISNIS-27 Index, the stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia, slightly decreased 0.01% or 0.03 point to 331.77. Bisnis-27 Index moved within range 330.99-333.57.In the regional market, Nikkei 225 gained 1.83% to 9,078.47, Hang Seng in Hong Kong market gained 0.92% to 23,398.25. Shanghai SE declined 0.13% to 2,702.86, South Korean's Kospi climbed 2.04% to 2,135.92, and Straits Times in Singapore gained 0.34% to 3,151.37.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index increased 1.78% to 916.30.
