JAKARTA: The state-owned PT Timah Tbk (TINS) will focus on their core business this year and has no plan to acquire any mine outside the tin commodity.Timah Corporate secretary Abrun Abubakar said the chance to acquire outside the tin project will only take place to the coal mining owned by PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera which is still in the process of due diligence.For this year, the company plans to develop a sea mine so it will not seek another coal mine.There is no another mine and we have not looking for it eather. It is more likely we will not looking for another one this year since we wanted to focus on our core business expansion which is improvement in tin production especially those at the sea, as he said to Bisnis, yesterday.Related to the progress of the acquisition plan of Bara Anugrah mine, he explained that it is still under the due diligence. The result might reveal this first semester.He also informed several matters under the acquisition project, one of them is coal price development.The higher coal price is, the purchase price will also more expensive. We do not want to lose. Our team is still studying every aspects.He detailed that the under due diligence mine obtains 5,500 kkal-6, 000 kkal coal but refused to specify the amount of coal reserve owned by the mine.Previously he had hoped to acquire a coalmine that has at least 20 million tons coal reserve.ThinnerThe coalmine acquisition plan is occurred due to the depletion of coal reserves owned by it subsidiary and the possibility that reserves are only sufficient for the next 2-3 years.For tin expansion in 2011, Abubakar hoped to increase the product percentage from sea mine to 60%. So far, Timah has been dominated by onshore mining.For this year, Timah will push their downstream product development such as tin mineral development.The step is taken to advance their revenue and as the anticipation step if Timah production in 2011 will still be the same as the previous year.This year production target is expected to be increased or at least equal to 2010.
