JAKARTA: The great capital inflow and 23 new entries into the list of publicly traded companies led the jump by 46.13% in the composite index throughout the year. It was closed at 3,703.51 yesterday from 2,534 in December last year.President Director of Indonesia Stock Exchange Ito Warsito said this year the stock exchange showed positive results. "The market capitalization has increased more than 60% or IDR3,243 trillion compared to IDR2,019 trillion in the end of 2009," he said in a press conference, yesterday.Meanwhile, average daily stock transaction this year was IDR4.8 trillion, up 18.74% from IDR4.05 trillion last year. Whereas, the average daily frequency in 2010 reached 105,587 times, an increase of 21.64% from 87,040 times last year.However, as Ito added, in terms of daily transaction volume, it was down by 10.67% to 5.44 billion shares compared to 6.09 billion shares in the previous year.(T03/NOM)
