JAKARTA: PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk seized IDR12,1 billion of proceed from the assets selling including companys land and building in Surabaya.
In the information disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) today, the listed company sold a 10,980 square meters of land and a 6,232 square meters of warehouse area in Rungkut Industri."The transaction was executed on December 17 and legalized by a notary Evy Retno Budiarty," said Corporate Affairs Manager of Asahimas Rusli Pranadi.Asahimas posted a net income amounting IDR226 billion during the third quarter of 2010, or grew almost 10 times compared with the same period last year. The gain in net income was sustained by an increase in automotive glass salesThe growth of the domestic automotive industry has a positive effect on the sales companys products which increased to 60%.However, the highest contribution on companys income is still derived from the sale of flat glass for residential and other needs. According to the report, the sales of flat glass reached IDRl,26 trillion.Meanwhile, the contribution of automotive glass sales reached IDR455 billion. Until September 2010, the company flat glass production reached 310,000 tons, or up 19.69% compared to same period last year which was only 259,000 tons. (t03/wiw)
