DA NANG, Vietnam: Hewlett-Packard Company, United States-based information technology company, is planning to build a plant for producing recycled cartridge.The company also has launched a recycled cartridge in Vietnam.The plant in Vietnam is a pilot project, we will continue to build the similar facility in other countries, including Indonesia, while also develop a new partnership in recycle sector, said Head of Environmental Management Asia Pacific and Japan Hewlett Packard Annuka Dickens to Bisnis in Closing The Loop Ink Cartridge Recycling yesterday.However, Annuka did not mention the exact date when they want to realize the construction of recycled cartridge in Indonesia and the investment value.HP collaborated with Lavergne Group, an environmental organization, to realize the recycled cartridge plant Da Nang, Vietnam.Annuka said HP has sold 45 million unit of printer, 60 million of PC, and 380,000 units of server in every year. We have sold 3.5 units in every second. Can you imagine the total of our product across the world, he said.Related to the cartridge product, now HP has produced 1 billion units of recycled cartridge in the world.Lavergne will facilitate HPs effort to increase its original cartridge in Asia Pacific.Recycled cartridge plant in Vietnam is projected to reduce the use of plastic up to 6% in all over the world.HP effort to recycle its cartridge product is equal with reduction of 1.3 million plastic bottles and 7 million kg of plastic bottles.Expansion of trend microAt the meantime, a company which provides information technology-based security solution, Trend Micro has started to increase its market in Asia Pacific, including Indonesia.Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Trend Micro Eva Chan said Asia Pacific market in Jepang has contributed 10% of the total revenue in 2010.Although, the contribution is just 10%, the growth in this region is bullish, said Chan technology network security, Direction 2011, in Tokyo yesterday.He also mentioned the other contributors in the companys revenue which included Japan (44%), North America (24%), Europe (19%), and Latin America (3%).Last year, Trend Micro has successfully booked US$1.09 billion revenue.
