JAKARTA: PT Binasentra Purna (insurance broker) is targeting a growth of premium sales from the insurance company in 2011 as much as 15% to IDR345 billion from its realization throughout 2010 at IDR300 billion.President Director Binasentra Pandamsih said the premium sales in 2010 have increased 15% compared to the realization in previous year at IDR260 billion.According to him, the insurance company premium that sold through Binasentra was still dominated by life insurance 65% and the rest in public insurance 35%.The insurance premium sales of insurance products were 90% in corporate segment and the rest of 10% in retail segment due to the company owned many corporate partners.The growth target of sales in 2011 is still same with this year [2010] at 15%. In 2011, I thinks life insurance products still dominate the premium sales due to insurance closure is still needed there, he told Bisnis, yesterday.Pandamsih said up to 2010, the company has owned 10 partners of insurance companies both in life insurance and public insurance for various insurance closures needed.The premium sold through this broker service until 2010 can be used for all life insurances and public insurances depends from the request for insurance closure by its partners.We can handle all type of insurance depends on the request. For instance, there is a company that build factory then we will ask for the closure of property insurance [fire] to earthquake or the closure of vehicle insurance for the companys armada, he said.Pandamsih said the company also plans to continue the expansion of its partnership with banks in 2011 particularly in the closure of insurance loans that disbursed by banking.In the insurance closure, the company eyeing partnership with at least three national private banks considering the state-owned banks have already appointed its own official brokers.The expansion is planned following the partnership that has been realized with PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Tbk when approaching the end of last year for the closure of bank counter guarantee by PT Asuransi Ekspor Indonesia (Asei).Closure partnership in bank counter guarantee by Asei conducted for each issuance of bank guarantee issued by BTN.
