JAKARTA: Total E&P Indonesie has successfully produced 87.300 barrels of oil and condensate per day in the first half, exceeding the 86,400-barrel-per-day target.Such output achievement has exceeded the 2011 Work Program and Budget target, Total E&P Indonesie President Director Elisabeth Proust said.The company, as the operator of Mahakam Block, is committed to reaching its target professionally and with high integrity, said BP Migas Head of Public Relations, Security, and Formality Gde Pradnyana.Earlier, Gde said the temporary stop of oil and gas production in Totals Tanu oil and gas field had made the national oil and gas output during the first half reached a low level.Oil and gas output reached only 906,000 barrels per day during the first half. BP Migas expects the output to reach 930,000 barrels per day in the second half.The oil and gas work contracts contractor (KKKS) is the operator of Mahakam block, most of which yield gas. Total pumps out oil and gas through two oil fields and six gas fields using nine rigs.The field was shutdown and its output will be recovered a week from now. It mostly yields gas but there is 20,000 barrels per day of condensate. The output could be enlarged to 930,000 barrels per day if recovered," Gde said as reported by Bisnis on June 5. .Tunu field is one of the companys gas fields and its liquid output is only from the condensate, which comes out with gas.In order not to affect the national oil and gas output, BP Migas has approved the planned shutdown of Tunu field (compressor maintenance, vessel inspection, and system flare) in the 2011 WP&B.Total has a good track record in terms of unplanned shutdown in the first half of 2011.
