JAKARTA: Agung Podomoro Group's Kalibata City apartment was awarded best project in Indonesia for category of middle-class project from FIABCI Indonesia.FIABCI is a consortium of brokerages and property professionals across more than 40 countries.President FIABCI Indonesia Setyo Maharso, who is also the Chairman of Central Board of Real Estate Indonesia (REI), said that Kalibata City is the largest mid-class apartment well developed based on healthy city standards.Kalibata City is to serve a solution for proper urban residence of middle class in Jakarta, Setyo said in his speech during the ceremony of FIABCI Award in Jakarta today.He added that more developers are welcomed to enter the mid-class apartment projects, so they can fulfill high demands for mid-class residence in Jabodetabek area.Meanwhile, Sales Manajer of Kalibata City Imron Rosyidi mentioned that 12,800 of 13,000 or more than 98% of the total units in Kalibata City have been sold out since the project development started in 2008.The project consists of 17 towers built on a 12-hectare area in Kalibata, Jakarta. The handover will start in the end of the year, and is expected to be completed by 2012, he said.One simple unit in Kalibata City apartment is priced around IDR200 million, rising from IDR144 million when it was firstly launched.
