EU sets off the 5th European Development Days

JAKARTA: European Commission is in cooperation with the Belgian Presidency of European Union (EU) to hold the fifth edition of the European Development Days (EDD) taking place in the Square Meeting Centre, Brussels on December 6 and 7 2010, EU said on its website.European Development Days (EDD) that was launched in 2006 is an opportunity to strengthen the European Consensus on development cooperation in a worldwide.The annual event will be attended by current and former Heads of States and Government from Europe, Africa and rest of the world, then high-level representatives of governments, international organizations as well as development practitioners, NGOs, media and civil society.In addition, at the EDDs opening ceremony, President of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso as well as Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of International Monetary Fund, will act as keynote speakers.Furthermore, the press conference will take place on December 7, 2010 at 13.00 local time in Square, Brussels.
