Garuda Indonesia suffers IDR186.57 billion net loss

JAKARTA: PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk suffered a comprehensive loss attributable to the owner of parent amounting to IDR186.57 billion in the first six months of the year on higher crude oil price.In a financial statement released today, the loss of current period (January to June2011) was IDR187.31 billion while at the same period last year it was a gain of IDR55.68 billion. Loss per basic share and dillution of GIAA-coded stock reached IDR8.27 from raising earnings per share of IDR6,105.75 last year. Also at the same period last year, the four-star airline company by SkyTrax gained a net income of IDR59.96 billion.Operating expenses jumped 40.51% to IDR11.5 trillion, leading to an operating loss of IDR340.78 billion due to higher crude oil price in the first six months of the year.
