JAKARTA: Indonesian shares gained 0.64% or 25.23 points to 3,963.25 at the midday trading break triggered by basic industries and chemical shares and also in line Asian stocks which mainly advanced.Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was moving at the range of 3,938.25-3,968.45. About four shares gained for every one share that fell.The increase in JCI was led by PT Astra International Tbk which contributed 3.55 points to the index, PT PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk 2.89 points, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk 1.35 points and PT Adaro Energy Tbk 0.93 point.Shares that hampered the movement of JCI were PT Bank Central Asia Tbk with minus 1.43 points, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk minus 0.80 point, PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk minus 0.54 point and PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk minus 0.36 point.Bisnis-27 Index rose 1.94% or 0.56 point to 345.57. The stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 343.67-346.63.From regional market, Nikkei increased 0.18% to 9,943.79, Hang Seng gained 0.95% to 21,868.81, Shanghai SE jumped 1.20% to 2,787.72, Kospi rose 0.47% to 2,119.69 and Straits Times increased 0.34% to 3,087.76.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index advanced 0.62% to 860.99.The rupiah traded rose 0.21% against the US dollar at IDR8,560.
