JAKARTA: Indonesian shares dropped 0.92% or 36.61 points to 3,958.98 at the midday trading break in line with regional market which mainly losses as rising concerns over Europes debt crisis.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was moving at the range of 3,951.87-3,995.22. About three shares fell for every one share up, whilst more than a half of the shares traded were unchanged. Finance and mining stocks decreased the most.Some blue chip shares were dragging JCI down, including PT United Tractors Tbk which gave minus 3.27 points contribution, followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk with minus 2.85 points, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk minus 2.70 points and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk minus 2.67 points.PT Gudang Garam Tbk was one of several stocks that sustained the index with positive contribution of 0.90 point. Others included shares of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk 0.68 point, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk with 0.38 point and PT Surya Citra Media Tbk with 0.34 point.Meanwhile, Bisnis-27 Index fell 1.11% or 3.89 points to 345.37. The index of 27 stocks launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 344.64-349.18.From regional market, Nikkei 225 fell 1.29% to 9,940.13, Hang Seng in Hong Kong market shrank 1.99% to 21,903.18, Shanghai SE slipped 1.26% to 2,767.32, South Korean's Kospi fell 1.96% to 2,114.76 and Straits Times in Singapore declined 0.91% to 3,089.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 2.22% to 861.22.The rupiah decreased 0.23% against the US dollar to IDR8,549.
