JAKARTA: Ministry of SOEs plans to establish state-owned Investment Forum to raise fund about IDR260 trillion next week.The forum is another form of state-owned fund that has been reviewed by the Ministry of SOEs. The initiative came from PT Jamsostek, one of SOEs which manages workers social security. "It will be launched on June 14, 2011," SOE Minister Mustafa Abubakar said today. The forum consist of SOEs which have liquidities and manages investment issues such as bank, insurance, securities companies and pension fund.The forum will provide alternative financing for SOEs that need money to develop their business, especially for SOEs which have prospective, but non-bankable. This forum will not hamper SOEs banking sector to disburse credit. The Fund will finance various sectors, primarily for infrastructure, connectivity and transportation, in line with Masterplan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia Economic Development. "President to boost sectors in MP3EI," he added.MP3EI program needs large fund around US$100 billion until 2014. SOE Ministry and SOEs committed to involve in the program. Such program consist of six corridors with 475 projects.
