JAKARTA: Around 474 coal mining companies haven't fulfilled its non-tax liabilities throughout 2010.Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) audit on the state revenue post from coal mining such as royalty, non-tax revenue (PNBP) and profit sharing shows such finding."We had checked the state revenue from coal management. They usually forgot or pretend that they forgot to pay the liability. Directorate General of Taxes hasn't checked their liabilities to the state," Member of BPK Ali Masykur Musa said in Energy Ministry Office, today.However, he declined to detail out the companies that underpayment in such liabilities. "There are 20 companies of PKP2B [Work Agreement for Coal Mining Enterprises] and 400 companies of KP [local agreement for mining]."According to him, BPK has rechecked all liabilities of mining companies that are not under the authority of Taxes Directorate to optimize state revenue in energy and mineral resources sector."We calculated those that paid less so it's okay for those who already paid it, yet, after we checked and it still less around IDR426 billion."BPK will also audit the bookkeeping system in all coal and mineral companies both from its production rate and export, including whether the taxes is in accordance to the company performance.
