JAKARTA: PT Ever Shine Tex, a textile manufacturing company, pays IDR2 billion dividends or IDR1 per share for yearbook ended on December 31, 2010.The total cash dividend that will be paid to shareholders derives from last years net income of IDR1.5 billion and the rest from retained earnings, Ever Shines Finance Director Erlien Lindawati Surianto said.The dividend will be paid on August 23, 2011. However, the total dividend this year will not similar to last year, which was around IDR2 per share.The figure is not similar since the net income during 2010 was smaller compared to a year earlier. The company posted IDR1.5 billion net income throughout last year or slipped by 80.51% from IDR7.7 billion in 2009.The declined net income occurred following the decline of foreign exchange gain that comes from dollar-denominated loan to rupiah due to the strengthening of rupiah exchange rate against US dollar in recent times.Last years foreign exchange gain only reached IDR8.3 billion from IDR25.6 billion in 2009," he said.However, the companys net sales rose 13.9% during 2010 to IDR615.07 billion from previously IDR539.8 billion. Domestic sales rose 9.5% to IDR273.9 billion and export sales rose 17.8% to IDR341.1 billion. (t06/msw)
