JAKARTA: PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk, Indonesias third largest tire producer, recorded 20.03% net income growth in the first three months this year, reaching IDR65.99 billion or IDR10.8 per share compared to IDR54.98 billion or IDR9 per share in the same period last year. Such net income jump was backed by the gain on foreign exchange that rose by 67.73% to IDR19.86 billion from IDR11.84 billion.Multistrada whose 10% of shares belong to PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk scored IDR79.27 billion of operating income or surged by 13.13% compared to the previous year at IDR70.07 billion.In the meantime, the other tire producer, PT Goodyear Indonesia Tbk (GDYR) recorded 43.29% profit drop following 30.34% rise of cost of goods sold.
