JAKARTA: Ciputra Group and Artha Graha Group are interested in the construction project of BUMN Tower. The owners of both company delivered their interest to involve in the project in a meeting with the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Mustafa Abubakar.Besides Ciputra and Artha Graha Group, one of the state-owned construction company (BUMN Karya) which partners with PT Taspen (Persero) is also interested to join in the project.Mustafa said that he has met with Ciputra, the founder of Ciputra Group to discuss on the project, yesterday.Beforehand, he also has discussed the project with the owner of Artha Graha Group Tomy Winata, BUMN karya and PT Taspen.However, he said it is just an abstract and we are still awaiting the response of various parties, including the community to realize the plan."There is a meeting with the team of Ciputra. Earlier we also have a meeting with the other parties. We do not have a target when it will be formed, because it is still awaiting first response of all parties, whether we realize it or not. We have to review it first. It is still idea but there are responds to it, "he said yesterday.Mustafa said that Ciputra set up four alternatives to construct BUMN Tower.However, Ciputra is still reluctant to give the detail explanation about the project. He only mentioned the group has submitted the proposal for BUMN Tower project to the Ministry of SOE."We are talking about BUMN Tower, but we are still a candidate of the project. Whether there will be a tender or not, we can not comment on this. We are ready to work on this project. This will be the icon of Indonesia. Many other companies have also submitted the proposal, "he said yesterday.Meanwhile, BUMN Tower will consist of five towers, in accordance with the constitution of our nation, Pancasila. To build one tower is needed funds around IDR1 trillion.Several alternatives of funding system will be done to build BUMN Tower."The fund will not be derived from the state budget. It can be from the state-owned companies, or land owner could become the shareholder. Even, the developer can be the investor, and then it may have a chance to be shareholder. And Ciputra already expressed its interest," he explained.He also said the original plan to build BUMN Tower is to make the building as the one-roof office for the whole area of the national state-owned companies.
