JAKARTA: PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia targets to manage third party fund as much as IDR24 trillion in 2011, increasing 26% from IDR19 trillion in the first half of the year.Our third party fund has reached IDR19 trillion through June. Our target for this year is IDR24 trillion, said Bank Muamalat President Director Arviyan Arifin yesterday.In achieving the target, the bank plans to make expansion in delivery channel lines this year. The expansion, as Arifin added, includes opening mobile service in September 2011.We will launch eight cars for mobile teller service aiming to actively tap customers. With mobile teller service, customers can withdraw cash, deposit cash and make new bank accounts since the tellers are there, said Arifin.Moreover, Bank Muamalat spends total IDR1.6 billion for the mobile teller service, or IDR200 million for one car. In addition, the bank will provide cash deposit machine (CDM), which enables customers to deposit and pay transaction in cash, with investment less than IDR100 million.The sharia-based bank will also open 150 automated teller machines (ATMs) across Indonesia.We currently have 300 ATMs. The target is 2,000 ATMs by 2015. By the end of the year, the number will be 450, Arifin revealed.Welcoming Moslems Ied El Fitr celebration, the bank will increase the number of banknote available in ATMs by IDR30 billion, or 10% of the regular amount.
