JAKARTA: Massive invasion of new vehicle models in Indonesia International Motor Show 2011 had been welcomed positively by market considering the great total car-order letters which is dominated by car brands of exhibition participants.PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors reported a car order for 5 days of IIMS 2011 to 270 units dominated by Pajero Sport Exceed 4x2 by 184 units.In fact, Mitsubishi has no special sales target for the exhibition held, confirmed by PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors Marketing Director Rizwan Alamsyah.Nevertheless, the car demand during IIMS keeps staying at high level considering total order to 270 units.In a term of commercial vehicle segment, the sole agent of brand-holder booked sales of 41 units. Even, Rizwan is optimistic that the booming momentum of automotive market will continue to top 1 million units by 2013 in line with higher production capacity of whole automotive manufacturers.On the other hand, Japan-based Mazda also reported a soar of sales in the event of IMS. For 5 days, the manufacturer had recorded order letters by 398 units with highest order for Mazda2 hatchback by 251 units.Meanwhile, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor booked 181 units order for 5 days of the exhibition.During the exhibition, Head of Customer Service and Value Chain Division at PT ADM Elvina Afny reported that Xenia recorded highest order to 70 units, followed by Terios with 46 units.In addition, the sales of Grand Max for minibus and pickup types were recorded to 23 units and 17 units each. Then about 15 units of Luxio had been sold and 10 units of Sirion have been ordered.We are absolutely sure that the sales during the exhibition can achieve 500 units or higher than last years sales only at 350 units because the market welcomes positively considering growing demand for pickup-typed and passenger cars, he explained.Totally, there were 138,490 visitors during 5 days of the automotive exhibition event.
