JAKARTA: Miscellaneous industries and finance stocks motored Indonesian stocks to maintain its gain today though was opened 0.09 point lower.The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) decreased 0.002% to 4,132.68 at the opening session this morning. However, the JCI reverse its movement and advanced 0.25% or 10.13 points to 4,142.90 as of 9.40 a.m. local time. JCI moved within range of 4,125.96-4,146.14. About one share gained for every one share that fell, whilst more than a half of the shares remained unchanged.The increase in JCI was led by PT Bank Mandiri Tbk which contributed 1.35 points to the index, PT Gudang Garam Tbk 0.56 point, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk 0.54 point and PT United Tractors Tbk 0.44 point.Stocks that hampered the movement of JCI were PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk with had minus 0.89 point, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk with minus 0.79 point, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk with minus 0.71 point and PT Indosat Tbk with minus 0.63 point.Bisnis-27 Index gained 0.48% or 1.72 points to 360.62 as of 9.42 a.m. local time. The stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 358.21-361.11.Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.73% to 12,501.30, S&P 500 Index declined 0.41% to 1,331.94 and Nasdaq Composite Index decreased 0.56% to 2,839.96.From regional market, Nikkei declined 0.56% to 10,041.01, Hang Seng decreased 0.01% to 22,569.45, Shanghai SE increased 0.21% to 2,707.95, Kospi decreased 0.15% to 2,165.39 and Straits Times declined 0.32% to 3,176.42.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index decreased 0.15% to 882.41.The rupiah traded rose 0.24% against the US dollar at IDR8,487.
