JAKARTA: At least, four palm plantation companies had reported net income growth by 132% in average for a period of the first half of 2011 because of a soar of sales volume and sales price of crude palm oil.They are PT Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk (JA Wattie), PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, PT BW Plantation Tbk, and PT Gozco Plantations Tbk.JA Wattie had booked the highest net income growth by 229.44% to IDR113,33 billion from IDR34.40 billion.The greatest growth was stimulated by higher sales by 65% to IDR333.84 billion from IDR202.26 billion, confirmed by JA Watties Financial Director Bambang S. Ibrahim.We have a quite high sales, and view the future business growth to be quite good, he said when contacted by Bisnis yesterday.In a term of rubber, its sale price was recorded up to IDR44,000 per kilogram from 29,400 kg approximately in the first half of 2010. Meanwhile, the sale price of crude palm oil (CPO) had also escalated to IDR7,860 per kg from IDR6,950 per kg.Astra Agro Corporate Planning and Investor Relations Tofan Mahdi communicated that the producer also recorded a performance growth indicated by higher net income to IDR1.27 trillion from IDR636.45 billion considering growth of sales volume and sale price of CPO.In average, the price of Astra Agras CPO elevated by 21.6% to IDR8,013 per kg from IDR6,590 per kg.On the other hand, President Director of Gozco Tjandra M. Ghazali informed that the company is still completing its financial statement. We are still completing the first half of financial statement, but our income grows 100% considering a higher sales volume, he said.In a press release, BW Plantation Corporate Secretary Kelik Irwantono said the CPO producer had documented a jump of income considering increase of CPOs sales volume.A research analyst of PT OSO Securities Supriyadi viewed global CPOs price had ever stayed at low level leading to a fluctuated movement of share price of plantation companies overall. Even though, today, the performance of plantation companies is still good.He continued that the commoditys price has potential to increase.(t01/msw)
