JAKARTA: Indonesian stocks opened mixed today, with miscellaneous industry and mining shares driving the index to maintain its gain.The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) decreased 0.02% or 0.64 point to 4,086.45 at the opening session. However, the JCI reverse its movement and advanced 0.03% or 1.07 points as of 09.40 a.m. local time. JCI moved within range of 4,082.19-4,089.38. About one share gained for every one share that fell, whilst more than a half of the shares remained unchanged.Indonesian stocks will move mixed at todays trading session as financial report of listed companies in the first half of this year are expected to compensate the negative trend on global stock market as US debt deadlock and renewed worries on Euro zone debt crisis, said Teuku Hendry Andrean, an analyst at PT Woori Korindo Securities.The increase in JCI was led by PT Adaro Energy Tbk which contributed 1.87 points to the index, PT United Tractors Tbk 0.65 point, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk 0.54 point and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk 0.51 point.Shares that hampered the movement of JCI were PT Astra International Tbk with had minus 2.13 points, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk with minus 1.35 points, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk with minus 0.97 point and PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk with minus 0.64 point.Bisnis-27 Index gained 0.11% or 0.40 point to 354.03 as of 09.42 a.m. local time. The stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 352.99-354.15.Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.70% to 12,592.80, S&P 500 Index declined 0.56% to 1,337.43 and Nasdaq Composite Index decreased 0.56% to 2,842.80.From regional market, Nikkei increased 0.04% to 10,054.34, Hang Seng rose 0.60% to 22,433, Shanghai SE decreased 0.18% to 2,684.41, Kospi advanced 0.16% to 2,153.94 and Straits Times increased 0.05% to 3,172.99.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index increased 0.64% to 882.91.The rupiah traded rose 0.05% against the US dollar at IDR8,520.
