JAKARTA: PT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk, a manufacturer of chemical products, expects revenue growth to be flat this year at IDR4.46 trillion, as the company opted to set a conservative target.Asia Pacific Fibers President Director V. Ravi Shankar said the expected same growth as last year was because of the lower raw material price, which will in turn cause lower selling prices. Meanwhile, production capacity will only increase slightly.However, net profit of the formerly known PT Polysindo Eka Perkasa Tbk is quite good if it can match last years income at IDR334.98 billion.Income depends on selling price, while selling price depends on raw material. It seems raw material price is declining. We have plans to increase production capacity but it will complete in the third quarter of 2011. And if profit margin is the same as last year it would be fine, he explained yesterday.Asia Fibers produces polyester chips, polyester staple fibers, and purified terephthalic acid.This year, as Ravi added, the company is waiting for PT Perusahaan Pengelola Aset to complete a debt restructuring for the company so it can start doing business expansion.The company has allocated a total US$50 million capital expenditure for three years through 2013.
