JAKARTA: Indonesian shares slightly decreased 0.03% or 0.94 point to 3,747.82 at the opening session this morning. Meanwhile, regional market mostly gained after China reported that its inflation accelerated to 5.5% in May.Declining of Indonesian stocks was lead by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk which gave -4.71 points contribution, followed by PT Astra International Tbk with -1.90 points, PT Adaro Energy Tbk -0.90 point and PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk -0.43 point.PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk was one of several stocks that prevented the index drop with positive contribution of 0.99 point. Included in this line are shares of PT AKR Corporindo Tbk 0.04 point, PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk 0.02 point and PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk 0.01 point.BISNIS-27 Index, the stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia, slid 0.11% or 0.37 point to 322.01. Bisnis-27 Index moved within range 320.74-322.35.Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.01% to 11,952.97 and Nasdaq Composite Index declined 0.15% to 2,639.69.From regional market, Nikkei 225 gained 0.16% to 9,463.18, Hang Seng in Hong Kong market advanced 0.12% to 22,534.80, Shanghai SE rose 0.49% to 2,713.24, South Korean's Kospi climbed 1.20% to 2,072.60, and Straits Times in Singapore decreased 0.04% to 3,057.70.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 0.77% to 880.74.Chinas inflation, cited in Bloomberg, accelerated to 5.5% in May, the fastest pace in almost three years, and industrial output grew more than economists forecast. The annual gain in consumer prices matched the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey of economists. Production rose 13.3% last month, the statistics bureau said in Beijing today. That compared with a median 13.1% forecast.The rupiah traded gained 0.06% against the US dollar at IDR8,538 as of 09.50 a.m. local time. (msw)
