JAKARTA: PT Asuransi Jiwa Seqis Life booked IDR420 billion premium revenue in IQ/2011 or rose 20% than IQ/2010 achievement. The insurance company also booked IDR150 billion revenue from new business premium.President Director Tatang Widjaja stated investment-based insurance product still dominates new business premium revenue by 75%. New business premium revenue rose 35% than in IQ/2010.Most of our products are regular premium. We focus to develop regular premium unit linked as it is more valuable than single premium unit linked.Sequis Life set aside IDR3 trillion from unit linked fund to invest in stocks and IDR3.8 trillion for traditional insurance product to invest in government bond.In 2010, the company recorded IDR1.46 trillion premium revenue. The figure is 24.78% higher than IDR1.17 trillion in 2009. Profit also increased bby 48.79% to IDR188.05 billion from IDR126.38 billion. Unit linked contributed 75% from the total achievement awhile the remaining 25% from traditional insurance products. (t05/msw)
