JAKARTA: PT Trikomsel Oke Tbk and PT Cipta Multi Usaha Perkasa form a strategic alliance to sell telco and multimedia product sales, leading the exclusive rights-holders of Okeshop and Global Teleshop to become the largest telco product retail networks in Indonesia.

PT Cipta Multi Usaha Perkasa through Global Teleshop currently has 373 outlets in 124 cities in Indonesia, while OkeShop has 785 outlets in 153 cities. "We hope the partnership will create a positive synergy between the two parties in selling telco products, including hand phone, operators' products, and other multimedia products like computer and mobile content," said President Commissioner and founder of Cipta Multi Usaha Perkasa Hermes Thamrin yesterday. He explained by selling different telco and multimedia products based on their respective market segment, the alliance would make Global Teleshop and OkeShop supplement to each other. President Director of Trikomsel Sugiono Wiyono Sugialam said the synergy was expected to strengthen the existence of Global Teleshop and OkeShop as well as create the largest telco product retail networks in Indonesia, with the total number of outlets reaching 1,158 outlets in 29 provinces. "The alliance will make it easier for Global Teleshop and OkeShop to serve the people and to eye the smartphone market nationwide," stated Sugiono. According to him, the alliance between the two seasoned telecommunication companies would also create positive effects as they could share experience and knowledge, strengthen infrastructures, including IT, develop outlet networks in the future, do joint promotion, and organize training.
