PALEMBANG: A Malaysian investor is not only interested in constructing first stage of Jakabaring Indralaya Kayuagung toll road project, but also targeting to develop the second stage of Jakabaring-Alang-alang Lebar- Betung for 123 km.South Sumatera Governor Alex Noerdin admitted that the toll road project is still under discussion between local government and the Malaysian investor. However, he could not give the exact time of the development and the investment for the toll road project.Now, the Malaysian investor is still internally discussing their plan to invest in South Sumatera. Hopefully in the near time the investor will review the plan, he said yesterday.He also explained that the offered toll road project is designed to support the development of transportation facility in South Sumatera, while accelerating the industrial development in Tanjung Api-api(TAA) port.Gubernur said that the Prime Minister of Malaysia will be also attending the ceremony of lying the first stone on the both stages of the toll road constructions.
