JAKARTA: Discussion on Bills of Financial Service Authority Law still goes stagnant. However, the delay gives a fresh air for Governor of Bank Indonesia Darmin Nasution because it is in accordance with the central banks expectation.According to him, the monetary decision should still be supervised by the central bank.If now it is still delayed, hasnt completed yet, we will view it has been in more accordance with our expectation. But, we have no information further, he said.Bank Indonesia keeps viewing that the bank supervision is much needed in taking a decision and developing a financing system. Thats why, the central bank declines to approve the separation of supervision from BI.Even, he complained so far BI has been never invited to attend the meeting on bills of OJK Law.Working Committee of Bills of Financial Service Authority Law (RUU OJK) ensured that the regulation hadnt legitimated yet because there was no a deal over an ownership scheme of commissionaire board. The issue will be re-proposed in the next meeting.Member of Panja RUU OJK harry Azhar Azis confirmed that the issues discussion will be proposed in the Houses plenary meeting to be extended in the next meeting period.Panja and government should finalize the legalization process of RUU OJK. But, the meeting had been canceled with uncertain reason.So far, the discussion still concentrates on the selecting scheme of commissionaire board. The government still requires for seven commissionaire boards to be selected by President, while the House just gives confirmation.
