JCI strenghtens 0,23 points in the opening session

JAKARTA: Indonesian shares gained 0.01% or 0.23 point at the opening session. Indonesian stocks is predicted to remain in the mixed trend today as investors in global and regional still acted wait and see while observing United States debt and Euro zone

JAKARTA: Indonesian shares gained 0.01% or 0.23 point at the opening session. Indonesian stocks is predicted to remain in the mixed trend today as investors in global and regional still acted wait and see while observing United States debt and Euro zone debt crisis situation which still seen grim.At the early trading, Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) continued to maintain its growth. As of 09.40, JCI gained 0.20% or 8.16 points to 4,005.80. JCI moved within range of 3,989.74-4,009.77. About one share gained for every two shares that fell, whilst more than a half of the shares remained unchanged.JCI tend to move mixed between support level 3,983-3,986 and resistance level 4,005-4,008, said Teuku Hendry Andrean, an analyst at PT Woori Korindo Securities.The increase in JCI was led by PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk which contributed 0.32 point to the index, PT Astra International Tbk 0.24 point, PT Pan Brothers Tbk 0.18 point and PT PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk 0.13 point.Shares that hampered the movement of JCI were PT Bank Danamon Tbk with minus 1.46 points, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk minus 1.08 points, PT XL Axiata Tbk minus 1 point and PT United Tractors Tbk minus 0.65 point.Bisnis-27 Index rose 0.36% or 1.26 points to 349.68 as of 09.38 a.m. local time. The stock benchmark covering 27 stocks and launched by business daily newspaper dubbed Bisnis Indonesia moved within range of 347.35-350.13.Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.44% to 12,437.12, S&P 500 Index declined 0.31% to 1,308.87 and Nasdaq Composite Index fell 1.22% to 2,762.67.US stock market ended lower at last nights trading session after Chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke said The Fed is not prepared to take further action and appeared to shut the door for another round of bond buying and erasing the QE3 potential which have lifted the stock market in the previous session.This news has erased positive sentiments which came from a drop in Initial Claims per July 9 and JP Morgans strong earnings report after the banking giant reported better than expected earnings. Meanwhile Initial Claims per July 9 has dropped to 405,000 claims, lowest level in three months, from 427,000 claims in the prior period and beaten consensus level at 410,000 claims.From regional market, Nikkei increased 0.20% to 9,955.57, Hang Seng gained 0.09% to 21,959.97, Shanghai SE declined 0.02% to 2,809.99, Kospi advanced 0.32% to 2,137.40 and Straits Times increased 0.14% to 3,093.01.The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.11% to 866.64.The rupiah traded advanced 0.01% against the US dollar at IDR8,534.
