8 toll road contracts to be signed soon

JAKARTA: Ministry of Public Works is deeply assessing eight toll road projects today merely to speed up the signing of amendment on toll road operational agreement (PPJT).Seven of eight toll roads are managed by PT Jasa Marga while the other one, Antasari-Depok toll road is controlled by PT Citra Waspphutowa.In the meantime, the amended agreement on two toll roads belonging to Jasa Marga, including Surabaya-Mojokerto and Jakarta Outer Ring Road Section W2 are ready to be signed this week.We are carefully assessing eight toll roads, seven belong to Jasa Marga and one belong to CMNP (PT Citra Magra Nushapala Persada Tbk representing all the shareholders of PT Citra Waspphutowa, said Gani yesterday.According to him, such assessment is held following the banks readiness to provide loan guarantee.Cikampek-Palimanan toll road whose land acquisition is nearly completed is now undergoing legal assessment from banks legal expert merely to examine any PPJPT amendment.After PPJT amendment is signed, toll road operator (BUJT) can soon realize toll road construction process, being assisted by government. The process consists of bank guarantee, land acquisition until the construction process is executed.Regarding to land, Ghani explained that referring to PPJT amendment, government shall accelerate land acquisition process by providing IDR3.8 trillion bailout and IDR900 land capping fund for public service institution.Land procurementMeanwhile, the legalization of land procurement draft will not be realized this month as planned before.Deputy Head of the Houses Commission V Muhidin Said said that there has not been any agreement reached amongst related parties, thus he estimates the draft legalization to be behind schedule.The obstacles as a matter of fact come from National Land Affairs Body and several non government organizations that have not yet reached any agreements upon such matter.
