MALANG: The funds of banking customer being guaranteed by Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) was IDR142 trillion until the end of 2010.Besides, LPS also collected IDR25 trillion of contribution fund from banks as per April 2011.Secretary of LPS, M. Imam NHB Pinuji said that the fund of banking customers being guaranteed at the most reached IDR2 billion while the collateral rate was 7.25% for commercial banks and 10.25% for Peoples Bank of Credit.Such collateral rate is determined once in every four months. The basic considerations in setting the rate are Bank Indonesia rate, inflation and foreign reserve. (T02/wiw)
