JAKARTA: PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk eyeing its sales target to grow 10%-15% or reaches IDR22 trillion this year compared to last years sales at IDR19.7 trillion.Companys management also plans to increase its sales price associated with the rising of commodity and food prices, Unilever Indonesias President Director Maurits Lalisang said."We're raising the price in accordance to the consumers financial capability. We'll calculate it from the cost of effectiveness. The total price increase of around 6% if needed," he said yesterday.The management has conducted serious talk to control over unnecessary financing and 5% distribution cost efficiency. 14% or equivalent to IDR3 trillion are allocated for advertisement and promotion this year.Currently, the companys sales reach 95% for domestic and around 4%-5% for export. It has paid IDR190 billion debts in first quarter 2011 and also gained IDR5.6 trillion and IDR987 billion net profits up to the first quarter 2011.Unilever plans to build new plant to strengthen and increase its production capacity. The fund for such plan will be obtained from capital expenditure as much as 300 million euros-350 million euros in the next 2 years-3 years.The company has spent IDR1.3 trillion capex in 2010. It was for new brand innovation like Rinso liquid, bar soap, Vaseline Men, and Pond's Gold Radiance," said Maurits.The new brand innovation has boosted the product sales turnover to US$2 billion and IDR4.5 trillion operating income. It growth reaches 14% in first quarter this year.Unilever is optimistic that it will continue to grow this year and with a very dynamic situation, the company targets IDR1.3 trillion capex in 2011 to increase production facility and distribution.Annual general meeting of shareholders had settled dividend payment at IDR334 per share or equivalent to IDR3.38 trillion on July 13, 2011. It also appointed Ira Noviarti and Vishal Gupta as the companys directors and Hikmahanto Juwana as Independent commissioner.PT Citi Pacific Indonesias Research Head Hendri Effendi recommends the purchase of Unilevers shares for short and long-term with targeted price at IDR15.500 per share.Investors are interested to buy Unilevers shares because its rarely to find a 100% paid-in dividend. The dividend shows that Unilevers shares are worthy for short and long term purchase. (t06/wiw)
