JAKARTA: The development of railway project (KA) in SoekarnoHatta Airport, Jakarta has to restart the process from the beginning since the feasibility study has just started by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur.President Director of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur Emma Sri Martini said that the company will collaborate with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Transportation in the mass rapid transportation project with a route Manggarai - Soekarno-Hatta Airport."FS [feasibility study] will be done, but we can not see when it will be completed, because we have to discuss the documents. Certainly, we will help the cooperation between JICA and the Ministry of Transportation to be optimal, "he explained yesterday.The company, as he said, would also ask for a help from an independent consultant to conduct feasibility study so that results can be useful.He said that construction tender also has no specific date when the construction will be restarted again even though the project targets this year as the starting time for the construction.Emma said the ministry has a number of alternative routes from Manggarai to Soekarno-Hatta thus the most feasible route should be determined firstly, then the tender could be held. Hopefully, in the next two months, the route has been decided.And we expect the tender to be realized in this year, however there is a possibility that it can be held in next year, he said.He also could not ensure the project value whether it is still the same as has been defined earlier or not. Earlier, the project has a value of IDR10 trillion.PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur established on February 26, 2009 with the mission of accelerating infrastructure development in Indonesia.The government fully authorized a feasibility study to the company since the railway project has no progress. Previously, PT Railink a subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia and PT Angkasa Pura II has authorized to conduct the feasibility study.Ministry of Transportation actually has specified the route of the railway. It will use elevated construction and will pass through Angke-Pluit, so the investment swelled from IDR4.6 trillion to IDR10 trillion. Previously, PT Railink China Harbour (China), and Mitsui (Japan) has passed the prequalification tender.Scale of prioritySeparately, Director General of Railways of Ministry of Transportation Tundjung Inderawan said the decision of the last meeting with other agencies is that the feasibility study of airport railway project will be accompanied by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur.It is true that the feasibility study will be done by Sarana Multi Infrastruktur. Anyone can do the feasibility study, he said.Tundjung said the company is now focusing to the development of the 7 km railway from Tangerang to Soekarno-Hatta.The project investment needs IDR140 billion for the earth grounding construction.If the is a commitment on the land used to build the railway from the Governor of Banten then the development will be much easier to run.
