JAKARTA: PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) increased its share ownership in PT Asuransi Jasaraharja Putera to 93.8% from 80%. Currently, the shares value at IDR93.8 billion.President Director of Jasaraharja Putera Zayad Ghani said the share increase has been determined based on the companys extraordinary general meeting of shareholders [RUPSLB] held on 14 January.According to him, the increase was done by purchasing 13.8% shares previously owned by Jasa Raharja Pension Fund for IDR13.8 billion.It brings the total value of Jasa Raharja shares to reach to IDR93.8 billion from previously IDR80 billion.The value based on Jasaraharja Putera's paid-in capital is IDR100 billion. In fact, Jasaraharja Putera's equity has reached IDR321.5 billion or rose 19.6% as of September 2010 from same period last year at IDR268.8 billion.Currently, Jasa Raharja owns 93.8% share of Jasaraharja Putera. The change of ownership has been approved in the RUPSLB, he told Bisnis, yesterday.Ghani said the disposal of Jasa Raharja Pension Fund's holding refers to Decree of the Minister of Finance that prohibits pension fund to make direct placement in affiliated companies.Currently, the shareholders of Jasaraharja Putera consist of four companies from previously five companies. Three other shareholders are PT Servico Delta Investama (2.5%), PT Tatakarsa Utama (2.2%), PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (1.5%).He explained in accordance with the provisions in the Minister of SOEs' Decree No. PER-05/MBU/2008 Article 1 Paragraph 6 on 3 September 2008, Jasaraharja has met the criteria as a subsidiary that can be equal to SOEs.Head of Public Relations at Jasa Raharja Dedy Sudrajat affirmed the change in ownership composition at Jasaraharja through the purchase of shares previously owned by Jasa Raharja Pension Fund.Ghani also added that the increasing ownership in Jasa Raharja is expected to provide benefits to the company in strengthening the market penetration strategy for marketing their products.
