JAKARTA: PT Hutama Karya, a state-owned constructor, for this year will handle 101 infrastructural project worth by IDR8.3 trillion.Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya M. Kosim confirmed that the total projects consists of 81 new projects with investment of IDR5.7 trillion and 20 old projects that are on completion process with IDR2.5 trillion investment.We have contracted about 81 projects for this year with IDR5.7 trillion investment, while the remaining is previous years projects, he said to Bisnis, last week.Kosim is optimistic for the activities to be realized on time. Then, this years realization includes constructions of JORR toll at Tanjung Priok access, Steam Power Plant, and a highway of Blok M-Antasari route.Meanwhile, the projects investment is higher by 31% to IDR2.7 trillion than targeted by IDR6 trillion. The total investment is expected to be higher if handling any projects for this year.Previously, President Director of PT Hutama Karya S. Subagyono affirmed that the construction financing will be supported from the constructors initial public offering (IPO) in this year.According to him, a high potency for the construction services needs to be supported by strong capital considering the total asset of the company is only about IDR400 billion.Meanwhile, Deputy of Strategic Planning and Restructuring Division at State-Owned Ministry Pandu Djayanto told that in the privatization program of Hutama Kary, government plans to hand change 35% shares to public through IPO system.The IPOs implementation is a part of privatization plan of several state-owned companies. Furthermore, for this year, 7 state0owned companies will be privatized including Hutama Karya. (t01/wiw)
