JAKARTA: The founder of Bosowa Corporation, Aksa Mahmud, expects Semen Bosowa, a subsidiary of Bosowa Corporation, to able to compete in global market.
Competing internationally is indeed Bosowas vision. "We will focus on increasing cement production, from 2 million to 4 million next year. This is one of our strategies to penetrate global market," he told Bisnis, after delivering donation to Sunda Kelapa Mosque, today.
In fact, he hopes the total production capacity of Semen Bosowa will reach 5 million tons by 2012, of which 1.4 million tons will be contributed from Semen Bosowas plant in Batam.
While being asked about the companys plan to hold an initial public offering (IPO), he said the IPO will be done along with the increasing production capacity of Semen Bosowa next year.
Unstable price
Aksa sees the higher loading and unloading costs in Indonesia as one main concern as well as one of the weaknesses in Indonesia's port management sector.
