JAKARTA: The fabric and yarn producer, PT Unitex, does not have plan of expanding its business next year after suffering IDR14.5 billion loss in third quarter of 2010.Unitex Director Sugi Hadi Prawiro said the company is focusing on performance improvement to be more profitable.We are still calculating how much sales potential we can achieve next year amid higher raw material and electricity prices while the demand is not increasing, he said today.The biggest obstacle, he added, is a stagnant selling price. Moreover, the competition is getting tighter, especially among Asian countries like Malaysia and India whose products are more advanced.According to the data compiled by Bisnis, the company as per September 2010, could only collect IDR117 billion sales income from the target of IDR161 billion in 2010.
