JAKARTA: Prudential Life Assurance Indonesia, today, announced a soar of its total premium revenue by 36% to IDR7.2 trillion in the thirds quarters achievement from the total in the same period of last year.The achievement indicated a great growth for sharia insurance sector to 44% from the growth of third quarter 2009. Then, in a period of September 30 2010, Prudential claimed to stay continuously its position as a market leader by reporting total sharia premium revenue to IDR922.6 billion.Based on annualized premium of first equivalent, Sahria contributed 20% of the total new business revenue of Prudential Indonesia, William Kuan, Senior Vice President Director Prudential Indonesia stated in a todays press release.According to Kuan, the growth of life insurance in Indonesia depends on public awareness of the importance of insurance protection that is still not very enthused by most of the Indonesias people.Meanwhile, Prudential Indonesia believes for a prospect of life insurance industry and high necessitate of financial solution in Indonesia.We believe, our track record of business performance and various real actions as a responsible company in recent years, further strengthen this commitment, Kuan said.
