SINGAPORE: The total assets under management (AUM) of mutual fund industry has reached IDR140.09 trillion or 20.5% as of late November compared to its early year position at IDR116 trillion.The position rose 27.9% when compared to the year on year position at the end of November last year. Meanwhile, the composition of AUM consists of money market fund amounted to IDR7.3 trillion, fixed income IDR27.9 trillion, protected mutual fund IDR43.03 trillion, mixed IDR18.8 trillion, and shares IDR42.9 trillion.Director PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi Andreas Muljadi Gunawidjaja said the increase of AUM was driven by the increase in stock price as the underlying assets of the mutual fund product.Meanwhile, the AUM of protected fund was driven by the increased of submission. "About 99% of cause for the increase of the protected AUM was submission," he said last night.In terms of fund management, the top three position is occupied by PT Schroder Investment Management Indonesia with AUM amounted to IDR35.5 billion, BNP Paribas (formerly Fortis Investments) IDR20.6 trillion, and PT Mandiri Investment Management IDR17.05 trillion.
