JAKARTA: Rupiah is predicted to consolidate and tend to decline, BNI Treasury Research Division said in morning review. The weakening potential tails the story of stronger dollar against major currencies due to global situation and escalating demand approaching year end."Yet, rising risk appetite worldwide will promote prositive sentiment and reduce pressures to local index, thus supporting rupiah," said Nurul Eti Nurbaeti, Head of BNI Treasury Research Division, today. The lender noted rupiah weakening in the last session on Friday to IDR9,022 per US dollar on profit taking at domestic market. "BI will still maintain its existence at the market to keep rupiah stable."The state lender suggests to buy at IDR9,010 and sell at IDR9,025. Besides, USD/JPY is predicted to lean to the range of 82.50-85.50. (NOM)
