JAKARTA: PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) (Telkom) may opt for compensation funds from Bakrie Group in the future consolidation of Flexi and Esia supposed Flexis asset value is larger than Esias.Telkom President Commissioner Tanri Abeng said that it will not be a problem if the state telecommunication company should become the minority shareholder. There will be further discussion after the extraordinary meeting os shareholders as we will also review the asset values of Flexi and Esia. Supposed Flexis asset is larger, Telkom will become the majority shareholder and obtain compensation funds from Bakrie Group, he said today.Telkom indeed has proposed two alternatives, i.e. obtaining compensation funds and becoming majority shareholder. The option emerges as Flexis asset value is predicted relatively larger than Esias.Analyst of Danareksa Sekuritas Chandra S. Pasaribu in his research published on June 9 highlighted that the book value of Esias holding company, PT Bakrie Telecom, reached IDR8.43 trillion while Flexi is valued at IDR12.11 trillion.
