JAKARTA: PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk (BII) has appointed PT Bahana Securities, PT Mandiri Sekuritas, and PT Indo Premier Securities as the underwriters of the bond issuance worth IDR1 trillion.A person who is familiar to this issue said the bank is now also exploring the option to issue subordinated bonds."If this plan is realized, the bonds to be issued by BII will be offered in the form of subordinated and senior bonds. The issuance of these bonds is planned to take place within next year, "he said yesterday.Bisnis asked for confirmation to the Director of BII Thilagavaty Nadason but he did not answer the phone or even did not reply to sms that was sent to him yesterday.Currently, the owners of BII shares are Sorak Financial Holdings Pte Ltd for 54.33% and Maybank Offshore Corporate Services (Labuan) Sdn Bhd for 43.08%, while the public is only for 2.59%.Malaysian Bank Bhd gas requested an extension of time to release some of its shares in the bank (BII), after the capital market regulator on Friday last week said it has provided an additional time of divestment in 6 months until June 1, 2011 for Malaysian Bank.The additional time request also submitted by Maybank to Malaysia Stock Exchange on Friday last week.
