President Director of PT Sarinah Persero Jimmy Gani stated they do not dare to set a high price for its initial export. We dont have our own factory but we consider the current factory facility quite sufficient. We are able to produce 400,000 tons per year while we have not utilized half of the capacity, he said at the Ministry of Trade office, today.Besides the processed products, he informed, Sarinah will also export cocoa beans in a very limited volume, about 30-50 tons per month. The cacao export is limited to fine bean. Although the volume is small, it is expected to open ways to the cacao global trading network.Furthermore, the company starts intensifying cocoa business at local market. At the moment, Sarinah is nurturing Lampung and West Sulawesi markets and then Padang. West Sulawesi and Lampung are projected to be Sarinahs fermentation units. (T05/NOM)
